How is the surge in Afghanistan any different than the surge in Iraq?
When Bush decided to go with the surge in Iraq just about everyone here was against it. It was a lost cause, it would never work, why bother? Get out now we all said.

Now......a few years later....here we are again, with Obama in the hot seat, announcing a surge in another war and why am I supposed to believe it's any different? Why is this war the 'good war'? I didn't know any war was a 'good war'? I thought this war was supposed to be about getting Osama, who last I heard wasn't even living in the same country the war is in.

Seriously.....what the hell is the point?

1. I heard Joe Sestak on Ed's radio show today.
If you can listen to it, it may answer some of your questions.

2. It's not. It's crap
If it had been * this board would be aflame with anger, but there are a few here who seem to have cottoned up nicely to Pax Americana.
