I'm going to trust Obama on this |
|
Just as I trusted him with my vote and my country.
But that doesn't mean that I like this move in Afghanistan.
This is a man that we have placed our trust in and I will continue to do so until such time thats it clear we shouldn't.
With the information that I HAVE, I would bring home our troops now.
However Obama has access to far far more intelligence than little old me and I trust his decision making ability. Afterall, this is a man who has delivered us from the worst depression since the Great depression, is well on his way to delivering healthcare to millions who never had it before, and has completely turned around our world image.
I'm nervous about Afghanistan, but I stand by our President.
As a matter of fact, its something we should ALL do, regardless of how you feel about Afghanistan.
Obama will need us now more than ever to stand beside him. It's the least we can do.

4. i go with the president too... |
|
everybody has their own opinions and whatnot. they get to post on message boards, blogs, etc. yell, wail, pontificate. that shit is easy.
president obama must deal with facts. with information that would scare you shitless if you knew it, and he is the one alone that must make the decisions and be responsible for them.
i stand with you, my president...

5. I would contest part of this... |
|
With the knowledge I have, more troops on hte ground to clear away a resurgent Taliban, and political and economic pressure on Karzai's government to cut the crap, bolstered by non-military aid and assistance to come into the areas where the Taliban and warlords have been removed, seems about the right formula. Obama has more minutae intelligence than we do, but honestly, there's coverage of everything Afghanistan on the internet. Just have to look.
It has a chance of going wrong. However this is better than the guarantee that it will go wrong that we started with.

6. Did you stand by George W. Bush when he was President? |
|
He had access to lots more info than we do, too, but nobody here supported his warmongering.

8. Bush and Obama are two different people. |
|
Obama is smart, and morally principled, and trustworthy.
George W. Bush was not.

Bush went there for greed and personal enrichment.
Obama is cleaning Bush's mess up there for the good of every American and world citizen.

10. presidents do know more that you. you know that, right? |
|
or are you just that simple? just that ignorant?
president obama was dropped into this. now with the knowledge he is privy too, he made a decision.
i'll trust his decision over any *opinion* i read here or on a blog.
because he is the president, and he does know more than you...

7. I wouldn't escalate the war in Afghanistan. I think it's doomed to failure. |
|
Unlike some, I'm willing to admit that I could be wrong.
Unlike some, I'm willing to admit that President Obama understands the situation on all levels better than I do.
