I don't consider progressives defeatist at all, but I sensed that he was pointing out that there are no viable progressive options given the power-structure and interests of our country - at this moment in time.

I appreciate his nuanced brilliance, but end-results are end-results.


a real escalation would have involved much larger numbers. This was a politically pleasing way to pull out.


Just imo how it came across to me.

also, I do not support the escalation at all. We need a huge paradigm shift , starve the beast through transforming our economy to a green, energy independent one vs. trying to kill a cancer that's metastisized with carcinogens..a bit of his phrasing lol
