NYPD regularly lie per federal judge
A respected federal judge slammed the NYPD Monday as plagued by "widespread falsification by arresting officers."

Brooklyn Federal Judge Jack Weinstein delivered the disturbing appraisal in a four-page decision refusing to throw out a multimillion dollar suit against the city filed by two men who were busted on bogus narcotics charges.

Every judge and district attorney knows it, too.

4. Yep, it's the same everywhere
Cops lie in Boston as a matter of course too. It's expected, well known, and I'm surprised this judge is actually stating this out loud.

6. That's the newsworthy part
A federal judge just said it.
This judge has been around a long time. He's nobody's fool.

10. They have a job to do
They see too many guilty people get away, so they lie.

Knowing that they will lie is an advantage to the smart person.

5. The Powers that Be Lie? Say it ain't so!
I always thought that my government always told me the truth!

You mean I can't trust them?

I haven't believed any thing they said since Kennedy. So what else is new?

8. Every day, in many ways, always to make a case they can't make otherwise.

Or sometimes, just because they are prideful, and want to stick it to someone who merely pissed them off.

14. I've only been arrested twice. Both times, the cops could have let me go without too much trouble...
..... but both times I actually did what I was being arrested for. Never went to trial, never got convicted, so no stand drama.
