1. And this matters how?
4 innocent people dead...cops, hopefully good ones, at that; and a man who wanted to kill them that was killed in a confrontation. the suspect wasn't tased to death or anything like that.

Are you mad that someone, who seems like a decent cop, killed him?

What's your motivation for your post?

3. i haven't read your other post
but i've been on other message boards where the 'clemmons' killer is now just a fucking racist cop, shooting as the first black man he could find to 'avenge' the killings of the other cops.

i've dated a cop and we're still in close contact. when something like this happens, esp when the suspect is killed, a lot of times the killing of the suspect is turned back against the cops as wanting revenge. that mentality makes me ill and i just reacted to your post.

did you make this post to defend or define the cop? sorry, but i don't get the motivation for your kind of post.

4. for pete's sake
i am a cop. i work in an agency near where the shooting happened.

i made the post to APPLAUD A HERO. just like my other post (an analysis of how clemmons was likely trying to set kelly up for an execution by leaving the stolen car with hood up and engine running, then approaching from the rear).

i've been in law enforcement 20+ years, PERSONALLY been involved in shootings, my best friend (a cop) was murdered not too long ago by some scumbag felon, so i have no idea what your point is

7. I'M sorry for the loss of your friend -
and VERY appreciative of your service - i have no temperament for it - I'd be kneecapping every other ding dong that opened their mouths...
What happened to those officers is impossible to comprehend - I live near seattle and people have been floored by this.

I hope the officer who shot clemmons recovers quickly from the emotional and psychological trauma of the shooting.

6. I read it and it's my fault for reacting poorly and
without giving benefit of doubt.

again, having dated a cop and reading posts, i used to work in the area, and reading garbage and crap about ben kelly and his heroics and instincts, i'm now very sorry. i read posts 'top down' and don't generally look down stream to see what else someone has posted.

apologies to everyone for me losing my shit over this - i'm sorry my reaction was so nasty - that's totally uncalled for. i'm still dealing with my ex who's going to mourn in tacoma for a friend of his and i think i have way too much emotion to post on this topic appropriately.

again, my apologies...i went off without benefit of being more educated by the previous posts.

i can see how a post entitled "profile of" could be wrongly construed.

as somebody who has defensively misinterpreted others on maybe one or two occasions :) i totally understand where you are coming from
