The Sad Truth: The Democratic Party is Pro War. |
|
Between the cash cow of military spending and our society's perverted fetish with violence, WARS OF CHOICE will continue to be supported by both of the two major political parties.

3. Agreed. The "folks in power in DC" are pro-war, regardless of party. |
|
... average, everyday Americans like the rest of us, who happen to vote Dem, may not necessarily be pro-war.
Stark example of the disconnect between DC "leaders"/their paymasters and the rest of the country, huh?

There are more veterans than unionized workers. We invaded a country that had nothing to do with attacking us, and left another mess for someone to clean up. How is this news to you that we as a country love war? probably more than life and progress at this point.

10. exactly. In fact, we even like small, personal "wars" |
|
Look at how easily people will line up to watch a fight or argument, or how easily people will escalate something minor into a potentially violent situation. It's ridiculous to pretend we are anything but a violent people for the most part. That said, I do think many are now opposed to these wars, but how f-ing sad is it that it took this long to see what many of us have been saying for years?

This IS a vastly larger problem. Many of us would like to see the democrats as part of the solution but that's not going to happen anytime soon.

20. Eisenhower warned of this exact scenario and look where it got us |
|
I love Eisenhower for a lot of reasons - but the one that really gets me is that he had lived the life of a soldier, saw the internals of Washington decision making, and led the country - and we was still able to see the storm on the horizon and had the foresight to warn us all.
Too bad we didn't listen.

Odd, I thought mine would be Rec #13, yet it was #11.
Why would anyone un-rec the truth?
Our Party -- my Democratic Party -- is run by the war machine.
No matter what, I won't leave. I intend to help revive it as a Peace Party.

and the Texas-American Petroleum Cartel. They are true symbionts, and cannot live without the other. They viciously protect each other's interests. They no longer exist to serve the United States. The United States now exists to serve them. The United States of America will never again know true peace until their death grip is loosened from our government and from around our throats.

The war machine needs petroleum to function, that is why they are in bed with each other. The neocons have stolen the Democratic party just like they did the Repugs. The upcoming vote for funding this tragedy will show just how many there are, and the Dem supporters are sounding more like the right wing every day. I guess all those years of listening to the nut bags have paid off, they are now educated in the same tactics and false reasoning.
