For those who need catharsis after Obama's West Point speech (WARNING: disturbing imagery)
I'm trying to cover all bases here. A little something from Dimmu Borgir, complete with English translation:

http://www.dimmu-borgir.com/video/sorgens-kammer-del-II.mpg

The echoes of silence sets the hour
Gagged in the chains of depression, I fall away
No more will I be bolted fast to the anchor of melancholy
But finally get my wish fulfilled - for leaving

Did I drink too much from the goblet of optimism?
Did I take the vanity of joy for granted?
For my battle against the pain of emptiness - this intoxication of the angst of death
Is all that remains - that is mine

In my loneliness I still know
That I have none to thank but myself
This is why I keep my calm
As the rope tightens around my neck

In my loneliness I still know
That I have none to thank but myself
This is why I keep my calm
As the rope tightens around my neck

Mute witnesses cannot give comfort
The common man in the assembly of the gravechoir
This land of perdition
I created with my own hands

This intense attraction to the portals of death
A wandering study of tearful black mass
Controlled since the dawning of time
But something I would never let go - was the sorrow

In my loneliness I still know
That I have none to thank but myself
This is why I keep my calm
As the rope tightens around my neck

1. The sadness train stopped to refuel and it's off again.
Obama promised he was moving the war from one Iraq to Afghanistan. There was no reason to move this war when he was campaigning, and there is no reason to move it now. This is an illegal war. First and foremost the job of the President is to follow the law....

2. When we first went into Afghanistan...
...it was so easy to find a reason to do so. We wanted the Taliban driven out of Afghanistan, al-Qaeda smashed, and bin Laden either dead or in shackles in a Federal courtroom.

But now, the more I learn about what's going on there, the harder it is to find a reason to stay, let alone pour more troops into the mix.
