Mohammed Sohail was the intended victim of a robbery last June in Shirley NY. The security video shows the counter man holding him off with a rifle and, instead of holding him for the police, let him go with $40 and a loaf of bread.

Yesterday he got a note with $50 in it.

Thanks for the link to the story. It is uplifting.

I was just shocked by how vicious several of the commenters were with each other, like raging, gun-toting drivers on an LA freeway letting loose in all of their anonymity. Makes me grateful that either the moderators here at DU, and/or the members themselves, insist on a modicum of civility.
