My LTTE to the Daily News on the NYS Gay Marriage Vote
Today's Editorial ("The Gay Marriage Vote") states that "The Democratic Process has Spoken". Sadly however, it did not speak. Of the 38 Senator who voted against the Marriage Equality Bill, only one was prepared to offer a reason. For the "Democratic Process" to succeed, an open debate of issues is necessary. For intolerance to succeed, all that is necessary is silence.
