PICS+VIDS from Stop Stupak Rally in DC
Videos and Pictures at: http://www.SumofChange.com/stopstupak

Hundreds assembled on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, December 2nd 2009, to rally and lobby in support of health care reform and in opposition to any ban on women's reproductive health care coverage. The crowd grew so large that there were times when the overflow room was overflowing. After some speeches, we tagged along with a group from Sister Song who were scheduled to meet with Senator Mary Landrieu and their interviews will be included in our edited coverage.

You can find all our coverage in the video player and picture slideshow at http://www.SumofChange.com/stopstupak
Check back over the next few days as we will be adding more videos over the weekend (it updates automatically as we add new media).

Please feel free to share these videos and pictures with friends and family!

1. If he is defeated in a primary, can he create a defacto 3rd party & stay in it , like Lieberman did?
If he can just run in the fall, disguised as another party, the rpubes will flock to him like they did for Lieberman:grr:

There should be a law preventing losers of primaries from being on the ballot (in any re-incarnation) in the fall..

2. I have to respectfully disagree...
As much as I dislike Lieberman, I don't think we should pass laws banning primary losers from running independently. I tend to think we should make it easier for people to run (especially on non-major party lines) not harder. However, I complete respect citizens (like many in CT after that election) that ask their primary candidates to commit not to run as an independent should they lose.

As for creating 3rd parties but staying in the former one, that I have a problem with. I have a problem with essentially creating a fake party to run under without anyone registering for it. I certainly think it is appropriate for the Secretary of State in CT and elsewhere to look into whether or not it is acceptable to create a new party that only exists for one election and one election only.
