10. It can be difficult to tell the difference between the two...
I'd still rather have Obama, but he's protecting Bushco, and I wonder why.

21. Withholding your vote in 2010 will send a HUGE message to Democrats ...
Voting may not change anything next election but NOT voting just might.

26. But if we really want to send a mesaage - we don't just stay home
We show up and vote for progressive candidates when possible or skip a race where there is no progressive. If necessary, we file a blank ballot. I've watched losing politicians in local races go over voting results trying to figure out what X number of voters showed up but only Y voted in their race.

If we don't show up at all, they'll blame it on voters not coming out - like we were too lazy to bother. If we take the time to show up and still don't vote for them it will mean more.

If a progressive candidate exists. Aside from Kuchnich, Grayson and a few others I would and will not vote for ANY Democratic candidate next election.

I truly believe that the only thing that will stop this War is the the very real belief, as shown by a Democratic loss of seats in the House and Senate, that the next presidential election could likely well go back to the Republicans.

I truly believe that the unless the Voters put that fear into them that the Democrats will continue to work for their Corporate interests rather than the People with regard to Afghanistan.

Withhold the Vote!
No War or No Vote !

17. Nothing good can come from this war..no matter what you believe Obama to be...
This country CAN NOT afford $8 Billion a month flushed down the rat hole in Afghan, when we are not even sure if we can keep the electricity functioning and the fire trucks running in the United States.

We all end up losers. 2010 will bring energy blackouts, gas shortages, food shortages and hardship like we have never seen.

This is not end-time evangelizing. Nature always moves to fill a void.. when you pump $8 Billion a month into Afghan.. you leave an $8 Billion hole in the U.S..... simple cause and effect.

It's very sad.. we can all see it coming, while we are frozen... unable to prevent it.

19. Obama has been a disappointment in some ways.
Nothing unexpected though. He made his intentions clear on most of these issues during his campaign. The problem is, after the primaries at least (he certainly wasn't my first or even second choice of the 8 D's), we could either sit out the election or vote for the completely inadequate McCain.

Clearly Obama is better than the alternative would have been. There are times when I can whole-heartedly applaud him.

I remind myself frequently how embarrassing it was with * spoke publicly. Not only am I never embarrassed of him, and even though I disagree with him on lots of issues, I am still very proud to have such a great man as our leader. Which doesn't diminish my disappointment.

22. And Obama MORE than fulfilled his campaign promise....
..in Jan. 2009 when he sent 17,000 military troops to Afghanistan.
THAT is the "about 3 brigades" he spoke of during the campaign.

The ADDITIONAL 30,0000 is FAR over and above anything he talked about during the campaign.

Just the facts.

25. You know...
People keep invoking the lyrics of this song.

But we are awfully careful to make sure we don't actually quote "We won't get fooled again!"

Um. Yes we will.
