11. It might have been YouTube acting up at the time.
I just tried it again and it's working fine for me.

Basically it's just a really cool song where the band tries to get the spirit of "dog" as accurately as possible with a very interesting combination of instruments. At the same time, they're talking about their roadies in a backhanded-complimentary way.

It's worth a listen, even though it won't be to everyone's taste. I hope you'll give it another try, or maybe go to YouTube and search "Gentle Giant Dog's Life". I think there are other working links to the song also. :)

6. Will he get on the Unit's Monument?
Edited on Thu Dec-03-09 09:54 PM by happyslug
Sallie was the regiment's mascot, she is best remembered for what she did at Gettysburg. The unit was hit hard on the first day of battle. The regiment was ordered withdrawn. During the Withdraw it was found Saddie was missing. That night some of the men of the Regiment asked to go back to where the Regiment had fought to try to bury the dead that had been left behind. When they arrived they found Saddie guarding their dead comrades bodies. The men never forgot her and when it came time for them to build a monument at Gettysburg, they included her on the Monument in memory of her.
