So why did Alan Colmes leave Hannity & Colmes, really?
His explanation at the time appeared to be along the lines of "ready for a new challenge" which translates to a whole lot of nothing. What's the whole story?

1. Maybe he got tired of being a token liberal on the GOP News channel?

2. The story is
Fox news was not making money with the whole he said, he said schtick. A watered down democrat half arguing with Hannity did nothing for ratings, nor did it enable the consistent message from FOX to its viewing public. Colmes was a temporary bone to satify the middle of the road, yet easily influenced public. He was a shill to increase the viewership.

3. There wasn't really much point in keeping him around.
He was around when Fox tried to give the pretense that they were "Fair & Balanced". He was a convenient example to throw out when anyone wwould challenge them. Once they gave up fighting it, they didn't need him.

4. Don't know but I can't stand him.
He was spineless around Hannity. And, then, I heard him caustically ridicule callers to his radio show because he didn't like how they prefaced their questions and comments. It was just the most unpleasant display of arrogance, ever. Ugh.

6. Would you be able to sit in the same room with Hannity without sucker punching him?
I don't know how he put up with it for so long. Hannity is an ignorant asshole - and he's proud of it!

7. $$$$$$$$$
Colmes was a well paid punching bag...and was asking for more to remain as Hannity's chump, guess he was a luxuary faux no longer could afford...nor need.
