You Want To Know Something That I'm POSITIVELY GIDDY About?

And no, it's not today's employment report which is good news.

It's what Congress is warming up to working on and getting done early next year; A JOBS PROGRAM!

Yup, it's coming. This will be stimulus II but they will call it something like "The National Get Back To Work Program" Or the "National Employment Act" or whatever.

But that's not even the thing that's making me most giddy. You know what's doing that?

The knowledge that the Repubs are going do everything in their power to try to block it! And in doing so, they will finally and completely destroy themselves, and just in time for the mid-term's.

1. They won't, of course, "completely" destroy themselves
They'll dress up their opposition in some nonsense verbiage about "fiscal responsibility" which the popular media will parrot as if it actually means something coming from these jokers. But they will continue to have their irreducible base of nincompoops, dimwits and true believers causing a ruckus and trying to distract people who are getting something done.

But yeah, I don't fear the mid-term election nearly as much as several alarmist prognosticators are doom-saying.

2. One starts to wonder ...

... if somewhere, somehow, there's someone with a brain in Congress actually attempting a little bit of strategy.

I know it's a far fetched idea, but stranger things have happened. Not *much* stranger, but, well ... :)
