|

A paroled convict with 47 years left on his sentance (Maurice Clemmons) recieved a commutation of his sentance by then Gov. Mike Huckabee. Several years later he shoots the cops.. Here is the question

1. Partially. The fact is, this man was supposed to serve a long sentence, and didn't, |
|
because of Huck and his tendency to release the Prison Born Agains.

2. That's quite a conundrum |
|
Huckleberry is a member of the Party of Responsibility. But none of its members take responsibility for anything.
Huckleberry said last week that he was disgusted (disgusted I repeat or is it just more conservative fake outrage?) about the way the story was going. He said the attention should be directed toward the loved ones of those shot. But, Huck if YOU did not commute a sentence, the loved ones would not need any attention.
Man Up Huck, or continue being a conservative.

3. All governors have to deal with these issues |
|
It could happen to any of them. No one can absolutely predict another's behavior.

5. Not much of a problem for B*sh |

When he was governor, I think his motto was his mother's "Just say no!" No to pardons, no to clemency, no, no, no.

6. Most governors only commute a relative few sentences over their terms. |

7. This is STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE for fundies - |
|
if someone puts on their best "Eddie Haskell" face of innocence, and declares that they've accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord & Savior, they are then considered part of "the club", and all past and future sins are considered irrelevant.

10. Totally...did you all read the review of the release of this guy? |
|
Everyone involved in the prosecution of this individual petitioned the governor NOT to release him. They showed how violent he was even after he was in prison and how many times he had attacked fellow inmates. Then when they had the parole review, Huckabee, made everyone who recorded these type of meetings leave the room. He even made a secretary that took her own notes leave the room. So he wouldn't let anyone, not one person, record what he did or what he said.
And after releasing Dumont and that guy raping and killing two women he went ahead and let this guy go, there is no one, absolutely no one, except fellow republicans when they know the facts say this person should have been released. BUT HUCKABEE PERSONALLY DID IT.
