I feel sorry for his wife and kids
Edited on Sat Dec-05-09 02:04 PM by Sarah Ibarruri
Here's an Australian article - the UK is apparently unearthing more trash on this a-h.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/world/tiger-woods-used-bodyguards-to-lure-his-lovers/story-e6frf7lf-1225807358506

Tiger Woods 'used bodyguards to lure his lovers'

TIGER Woods used his wealth and loyal friends to conceal his adulterous lifestyle, seducing his mistresses with gifts and confessions of love to keep them quiet.

The billionaire golfer's bodyguards approached women in nightclubs on his behalf and he would turn to close business allies for help arranging later meetings. (rest of article at link above)

I think she should discuss this in detail with many attorneys before accepting any $ :-)

...and $55 mill. extra (making the total $80 million) to stay for 7 years and continue to attend events with him as if nothing has happened. Weird.

make sure I get the house so I own it, and that I get the opportunity to write a book to expose everything I know about this a-hole she married

31. I love it when people who don't care about the OP topic
care enough to post about how they don't care about it!

Yes, those of you who are indignant, weary and outraged at the topic du jour have proven you're intellectually superior for not giving a shit. And because you couldn't ignore it and let it go without kicking someone else, you should be allowed (due to your intellectual superiority) to take an opportunity to post insults here so you can belittle the person who started the thread.

Honestly, if you don't like the topic, HIDE THE THREAD. Go find a healthier way to deal with your curmudgeonliness and live and let live. :hi:

26. Sorry, but economic treatment of betrayed spouses IS political
especially in a time when so many adults are denied civil rights so a bunch of delusional wingers can pretend marriage is being defended. Sanctity of Marriage is their battle cry so they can deny that very thing to a rather big chunk of the population and yet they do nothing to REALLY defend the scantily of the excuse they use to deny rights to some.

And then there is the can of worms of all the facets of legal contracts in marriage, and how, too often, the female partner is not a partner at all and never could negotiate from any position of strength. Yeah, I know, nobody forced her to sign. LOL, but she went in showing a bit more good faith than the chap who can spend a few mil and shit all over the 'scantily of marriage' and their 'partners'.

Basically, there is politics involved in just about any formal human relationship.

24. Not JUST Tiger, no, but the whole culture that nods and winks
when a man does it, forgetting that he's actually devasted someone who loved and trusted him.

Oral sex amongst teenagers isn't quite the same thing: first, the vast majority of them aren't married; therefore, they did not take a vow of fidelity, entered into a legal partnership and pledge trust to a spouse. Second, they already knew about oral sex and if the crazy-ass Republicans didn't know that, then they're as stupid as we always knew they were.

36. Sexual gratification is not evil if you're not hurting your wife and family
by cheating on them. Sexual gratification is not evil if you're single and have a series of consensual affairs.

This has NOTHING to do with that.

I love sex - I have it with my husband all the time. What I don't do is go out and have sex with at least four other men since I gave a pledge of fidelity to my husband when we married.

I honestly don't think it's a big deal. People put way too much emphasis on fidelity. As long as they are personally compatible and the children are well cared for, who cares if he or she has a few flings.

29. I think cheating on a spouse and particularly when you have kids, is revolting, however....
from what's coming out in this case, this involves countless women and years of cheating, methodical arrangements, the whole nine-yards. You can make a movie about Tiger Woods, NOT about his golf, but about his cheating. It's disgusting.

33. Because if you're expecting fidelity and your spouse cheats, it's
emotionally devastating as hell. And, if their mother is devastated by the fact that her husband disrespected their vows and shot the fuck out of her trust, then the children WON'T be well-cared for - at least for a short time while the mother tries to recover from that emotional abuse.

And, yes, I put a great deal of emphasis on fidelity, as do most people. Why? Because straying is a trust-breaker for anyone who agreed to stay faithful in a marriage. If you have an open marriage, then it's not a big deal because there was no breach of trust.

Man, you're kind of emotionally stoic, aren't you?

and not to defend Tiger, but the process of using bodyguards/trusted associates/other members of the entourage to pull or negotiate with women (and as alibis) has been in use for a long time now -- NBA/NFL/Hollywood superstars have been doing it for a couple of decades (especially those stars who can't bee seen trawling for women in dive bars...)

41. Tiger was friends with a group of
other famous sports figures. He is in contact with them a great deal. A couple of them are Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley.
As you can see, he is close friends with people who aren't know for fidelity to their spouses. In addition, MJ is notorious for not taking positions on a lot of causes. He wouldn't even endorse Harvey Gantt when he was running against Jesse Helms.
Sir Charles is much more involved in politics and voices his opinions regularly. He wants to be Governor of Alabama. On the face of it, that might seem impossible. However, I don't bet against Sir Charles.
