any recs?....no DINO's or DLC'ers. We here need sound recs for the progressive cause....The election has been little scrutinized here that I can tell and I, like many do not know who is even running. My phone has been ringing off the hook with robo calls for getting my vote. Don't have a clue about the credibility of any of them. Wouldn't mind a little discussion on this topic.

1. Not Pagliuca.
That's all I'm asking.

Mother of God, not Steve Pagliuca.

3. I'm either voting for Capuano or Khazei ...
trying to find more info on Khazei on the issues.

5. Capuano is my rep.

Although I would rather have him stay where he is (I believe that he is doing a good job right here he is) I also believe that he will make an excellent junior senator from MA.

7. I got the sense that Khazei's politically in about the same place as Cap,
but Cap will probably fight harder for what he wants than Khazei would.

9. True, true ...
I was writing him off, but when the Globe endorsed him, that made me take notice. I figured they'd give it to Cap or Coakley.

11. Check the Boston Globe editorial section
They endorsed him a week or two ago.

4. Capuano, from what I've heard.
Edited on Mon Dec-07-09 02:18 PM by Alexander
He's one of the few who voted against the PATRIOT Act.

Coakley is a lightweight. A total DINO too.

6. I hope the good people of Massachusetts choose wisely

I admit to not following the candidates, but then I'm not a resident either. The entire country will be affected by your decision, however.

On an unrelated note, I clicked on this OP probably not more than a minute after it was posted, then saw that it was already unrecommended. What in pluperfect hell is WRONG with some people? Topics of this sort are one of the main reasons DU was created - to discuss the candidates in upcoming elections. It appears for all the world that trolls are constantly refreshing their browsers, looking for important topics that they can unrec in a lame attempt to suppress relevant discussion. I hope the admins/mods are taking note of those who unrec so swiftly and look for patterns. I realize that the unrec function does nothing to actually suppress good threads, but it still pisses me off when trolls think they're getting away with disruption - even when it doesn't do jack shit.

13. Nice avatar.
Trumad, I assume?

Someone needs to shake Bill Belichick and tell him that he's a great coach--but he can't also be GM and offensive and defensive coordinator.
