Sanders' single payer amendment still not scheduled for vote, but not dropped either. |
|
Sen. Sanders has not been told that his amendment is off the table, so it should come up for a vote soon.
Keep those calls to your Senator coming. Two tollfree numbers are available for the purpose: 866-220-0044 and 800-828-0498.
One major difference between single payer and even the best of the private/public proposals that have been considered, is that poor people would get the same coverage as everyone else. No being shunted off into a 2nd class system w/ minimal providers, long waits, and a desperate scarcity of specialists b/c you're broke. If you live in the U.S., you're covered the same as everyone else.
