Republicanism trumps Goebbels.
Edited on Mon Dec-07-09 03:06 PM by Javaman
you know the now infamous saying by Joseph Goebbels, "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it."

It seems to me that concept has now gone into overdrive.

No longer do the republican stooges need be told a lie over and over, it seems to me, that now, if a lie is stated just once, it becomes fact to these morons.

It's the source that matters. Failin Quitter says something, her little robots spout if off without the least bit of research. Limpballs bellows something, off go the ditto heads with their marching orders. Beck, Hannity or any and all other cretins utter some "brilliance", it suddenly becomes the new "lying point".

No matter what these perpetrators of bullshit, spew out, their mouth breathing masses take it as truth.

They have been clearly brainwashed into thinking that analysis, critical thought, research and fact checking are things that the Democrats, Liberals and Left wing do.

That questioning these play school pundits is tantamount to heresy.

This is the difference between the Dems and the repubs. We question, they take (it seems) everything at face value.

So very strange and very disturbing.

2. For authoritarians, trusted authority figures trump reality, logic, reason, facts, etc.
Who is saying it is much more important than what is being said.

Sara Palin is trusted because she comes from "Real America." She's too simple and plainspoken to manipulate you the way those egghead elites are always doing. Science and critical thought are here to manipulate us, but you can always set your watch by folksy sayings and catchy talking points that focus on all the elites who want to give your money to welfare queens so they can feel good about themselves.

3. I don't see the merits in demonizing the Republicons
"The gravest danger we face as a nation is not from the far right, although it may well inherit power, but from a bankrupt liberal class that has lost the will to fight and the moral courage to stand up for what it espouses."
