Wait a freaking minute...I'm confused. "Progressives" are against expanding Medicare |
|
to those age 55??? Luke Russert was just reporting this on MSNBC as he talked about the Senate negotiations on healthcare reform. Said that progressives are having problems with offering the citizenry the same health care plan Congress has. Did anyone else hear him? Have the tectonic plates shifted somehow?

4. I don't know exactly what you are referring to. |

But "Medicare" is not the same as the "health care plan Congress has" (which is also not the same as "the public option"). So I think, if he said "progressives" are opposed to doing any of these things, the relavant question is, "instead of what?" Perhaps that is the source of confusion...

'maybe progressives can accept people being able to buy the same type of health insurance as members and their staffs have, maybe moderates can allow for this kind of insurance that curbs costs and contains them'
still don't know what the fuck it means
