At some point, he is going to be toast with the people who pay him to market their brands.

He has to be one of the dumbest people on the face of the Earth to get in this kind of mess. If he wasn't married, it would still be bad.

Edit: I'm just keeping up with the number. Who has time to remember them all? If he has been a playa for a while, who knows how many women will appear? Dumb really doesn't begin to describe it.

I think he will remain popular as hell (not quite as much among women though). As long as he brings it on the golf course, he will stay popular enough. At least that is my prediction. And I will continue to watch him on the golf course because he is that talented. He is not talented, however, in the faithful department. And that sucks for his wife and kids.

However, now I'm beginning to wonder. The sheer number and 'types' of women he has been with is eroding his reputation and image even more.

When people see him now, they are going to automatically think of what he has done. I don't know how the executives of these companies will react after a point knowing that their brands will be associated with his actions.

Being married with 2 kids is a great image. Stepping out on that family with a brazillion women isn't. One would be bad enough.

Elin was apparently caught off guard by the one story. Can you imagine how she must feel now as more women come forward? She may bail too at some point. They were rewriting the prenup to give her around 55 million. They may have to rewrite it again and give her the keys to heaven or something.

16. I feel terribly for her. I can't even begin to imagine what that

must feel like living a private life, much less this being a public spectacle. I never ever watched golf until Tiger came around. I grew up around it. My dad golfs every day pretty much. Even when the weather is too bad to golf, he still goes to the course to meet his regular golf buddies to play cards. He even took me to the course almost every Sunday when I was growing up. But that didn't make me be interested in golf. Whatever reason, it was Tiger who made me interested in the game. As long as he stays an excellent golfer, I will still watch him because it was never about his private life for me. I was always amazed at what he could do on the course. I do think there are some people of some very big companies thinking long and hard about his image right now. But I think they are waiting and hoping this will blow over soooooooooon.

would do since I have never been in the situation. I can imagine though, that if the first gal to hear about wasn't enough, the ones that followed would be. It is terrible for her. I was hoping they'd work through this, but the damage is probably beyond repair at this point.

True, this will likely have no impact on his popularity as a golfer--as long as he can continue to bring his game. But a scandal like this can really mess with his mind--Mike Tyson never really recovered (of course, he didn't have as high a perch to fall from).

Tiger's other popularity is his advertising marketability, based on Tiger as a role model. That is going to really take a hit.

As for Mrs. Woods, she should have known what she was getting into in the first place. She is not the first nor the last woman that had a cheating husband.

She is one of the few women in the world that knows that she doesn't have to ever count on food stamps for her family -- she doesn't have to figure out how to locate a house to live in -- in style, for the rest of her life.

If I want to feel sorry for a woman, I'm going to feel sorry for the thousands of woman that had cheats for mates and are left holding an empty bag while the cheat moves on to the next Bimbo.

Mrs. Wood was a "model" and a " Nanny" I believe. As they say on the TV show, she has "moved on up to the Big Time." In addition, she is lovely and unless we find out that she used that golf club on Tiger , she will get out with hurt feelings and a good life and two adorable children. Or, they may work it out and live happily ever after.

A QUESTION ... Really, darlings, what have we done to deserve all the trashy publicity blowing our way? First it was the diapered stalker of our only astronaut; then She Who Was Governor; now it turns out Tiger Woods' alleged No. 1 mistress (she denies it) is the daughter of Bob Uchitel.

For earwigs who just got off the plane, Bob was a charismatic prodigal son from a connected New York family who landed here in the 1970s and made a fortune in construction and cable during the pipeline era, then snorted up the profits. Bob flashed across the Alaska sky, a mover and shaker until he coked himself to death despite desperate efforts by friends and family to save him. Alaskans would have wished better for his daughter.

(The astronaut was from Alaska, not the diapered stalker, by the way. I guess we should be grateful for small favors.)
