KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A 3-year-old boy was sexually assaulted and electronics were stolen at a house on Kansas City house early Monday morning, Kansas City police said.
Kansas City police were called around 1:19 to 628 Elmwood Ave. when a mother said she was woken up by a her 3-year-old screaming. The woman said she found her son in his bed with his pants pulled down and a window open.
"My little baby, he call me, 'mom, mom,' and I wake up and when I open the door I see the front door open," the boy's mother said.
The mother's boyfriend, who was sleeping at the time, discovered that a radio, television and other entertainment devices were also missing from the home and that his car was stolen from the front of the residence.
The boyfriend or police were unable to locate the intruder. Police said they discovered a muddy shoe print in the kitchen of the home.
"When I see him, he doesn't have pants or underwear and he tell me someone come into the house and touch his body," the boy's mother said.
