Reason #238 Why Gore "losing" the 2000 Election was a Massive Disaster
Joe Lieberman would have left the Senate and wouldn't be in position to obstruct healthcare reform.

2. On the other hand, if Gore had won in 2000 and then re-elected in 2004 -
- Lieberman may have successfully won 2008 as the incumbent and would now be President. There's a way to find a disaster in any possible scenario.

3. I thought about that too but the other side of that coin is
What if Gore were assassinated or even died of natural causes? Not a chance I'd be willing to take.

5. On the plus side, if Gore was a sell-out, we'd be in the same mess, with
no republican to point fingers at.

6. The reasons really are no longer discrete enumerations; they're a continuum.
The reasons why Gore "losing" the 2000 election is a massive disaster is a continuum of malaise clouds over America. In fact, the essence of America is no longer the ideal we once dreamed of, but rather the deep disaster of the Republican Bush presidency. If you took the Bush disaster out of America, there wouldn't be anything left. America's history is gone. It's now as if some creature sat on the earth and took a big sh*t that we now call Bush's America.
