Religious Right website posts "naughty and nice" list in its "War on Christmas." Awesomely funny. |

1. Here's a funny one under "naughty": |
|
~ Best Buy – Web site: No “Christmas” on home page and only one link “Guaranteed Christmas Delivery.” Search revealed 3,370 non-Best Buy manufacturers' “Christmas” items. Circular advertised a Muslim holiday during Thanksgiving weekend. In Store: Happy Holiday sign and decorated tree. Mumbled “you too” response from cashier when consumer wished him “have a Merry Christmas.”

Their mythology doesn't make much sense, and they probably know that deep down, so they resort to militancy to try to convince themselves and others of their righteousness.

Their 'faith' is very weak and they know it. So they bristle with indignation and poutrage when their every belief isn't affirmed.

That's the same argument I have every year with my uber Catholic sister and brother in law.
Namely, if your faith in all this mumbo jumbo is so strong why do you need affirmation from some pimply faced teen age retail store clerk?
They never have an answer even after the same discussion for the past ten years or however long this ridiculous bullshit has gone on.

5. And whatever happened to their allegiance to "free markets"? |
|
Corporations didn't start being more inclusive because the government forced them. They did it because they realized that a sizable percentage of their customers are non-Christian and they don't want to alienate them.

14. These folks think "Best Buy" could be their ticket to heaven |
|
but only if "Best Buy" would use the word "Christmas" in its advertisements?
I just don't get how honoring consumerism gets you to heaven.

7. There are more than half a dozen holidays between Nov. 1 and Jan. 1 |
|
But the wingnuts insist they're being "persecuted" if people dare acknowledge that fact, and don't roll out the red carpet for Christmas. How many holidays do the wingnuts acknowledge other than their own, and are they "persecuting" others by not telling others Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Yule, etc? And what about when they're actively denouncing the holidays of others (Samhain, Halloween)? How can they not see that as persecution yet claim they're being persecuted just because someone else, who may not be Christian or celebrate Christmas, doesn't fall all over themselves to wish them a Merry Christmas?
These narcissists really need to get a grip.

because no one buys their cargoes any more..."
Is this all foreshadowing what will happen in the future? Imagine there's no religion. Then what? No Christmas! Don't you think the CEOs of Wal-Mart and Target will be crying? That's exactly what the Bible predicts.
How do we imagine there's no religion? Look how they're acting. Surely their days are numbered.
Why would religion be destroyed? Does anyone actually believe that these "christians" are following the Bible?
