Insurance industry insider on compromises from Senate Dems: We WIN
Source: Americablog

Ben Smith got an email from an insurance company insider, crowing about the way the Senate Democrats movement on the public option is heading:

"We WIN," the insider writes. "Administered by private insurance companies. No government funding. No government insurance competitor.”

The email from the rest of us is: We LOSE.

1. What a surprise. Well, actually, it was a foregone conclusion as soon
as single payer was killed.

Time to kill the biggest transfer of income to insurance companies in history BEFORE it happens.

3. There is a big difference between capitulation and compromise
If the goes into law the very people who caused all the problems .... the health care industry ...
will be the winners and will profit from from all the pain and hurt they have caused.

4. Who could tell we won the WH and have the majority in the House and Senate.
I'm suppose to be grateful for the progress that will come from this?

7. We did not win the White House.
The Corporations won the White House, beginning back in 1980.
They have just let us think there are 2 different parties.
But no matter who is in power, they always seem to win, and we seem to lose.
Those are facts.
Actions speak louder than words.
Never mind what the so -called Dems are saying.
What is the result????????????

5. If Obama and the Congressional Democratic Leadership
had to negotiate their own salaries they would all starve to death. They must all be in pocket of the crooks, because they have to know better than this.
Those who vote for this fiasco will be easily defeated in future elections by mere factual accounts of what they get on the Congressional plans, the percentage of income they pay compared to what they will make us pay, and the benefits they get that others do not. "Congressperson X voted to force you to pay twice what X pays, to get half the benefits. X pays 4% of the income paid by the taxpayers to buy their own insurance. We pay 12%. Congressperson X voted to give himself a great deal, and to force you to take the deal you have. Vote accordingly."

6.  Greed has surpassed our humanity...
Not that that is anything new. Throughout history this game gets played over and over, "winning" wars is always more important than the health of a countries citizens. How do we expect our government to work for us when it is painfully obvious when you look at our budget that killing and expanding our empire is our highest priority. Caring about the citizen comes at too high of a price for the greedy bastards that represent us. Who would pay for their campaigns if they did not bow to their masters. It certainly wouldn't be us, all of our money goes to the companies that have already payed for their favors. The only thing that actually changes are the names of the characters, not the game that gets played.

12. It was WIN/WIN for the Insurance Cartel...
...the day Obama took Single Payer Off the Table.

After that day, the entire debate was about whether to throw some crumbs to the peasants.

Fuck 'em ALL.
