1. Wow
My first post here and it's to someone who bought a GM vehicle. Good luck with your purchase and way to go, I have a Neon and I love it. I work for a wrecking yard and we mostly part out foreign cars, a lot of TOYotas, and sadly we are not union.

5. Welcome to DU!
It gets crazy in here sometimes, actually a lot of times, but overall, it's full of good people and a good place to be. I am the one whose threads usually get ignored because, well, I don't really know why, but that's ok too. And as far as your job, that must be a tough way to make a living. Do you work outdoors in all sorts of weather? Keep on buying American when possible, and don't despair. We aim to Unionize everybody. Or at least those who need to be Unionized, like people who work in salvage yards. From a middle aged Ford Taurus driver.

2. I still have my first car but my next car will be an American
I bought my used Mazda with my dad's help (his friend worked at the dealership) I will buy an American car next though I feel so guilty driving around in it.

I dont have a lot of money (working a shit job while i get through school) so I buy used everything that I cant buy American. Even my puppy's stuff is American.

I even found a Texas company that makes dog food using meat from local farmers and from what I hear from my SO's family in Amarillo they treat their employees right! I have never been this excited with a product before but it is because it fits my political philosophy as well as budget and my puppy's needs!
