Luke Russert = MSNBC's health care "expert" |
|
Why is this little tool exclusively designated by MSNBC to cover the Senate debate on health care? What happened, are all of their real reporters out covering Tiger?
His analysis is shallow at best, and his on-air posturing and fidgeting is irritating. This is a life-and-death debate taking place and they have a child reporting on it.

3. But-- he's the son of a famous media clown. |
|
This is the age of shameless nepotism and unqualified children, you know. Every week, you can see Liz Cheney and Bill Kristol discuss the accomplishments of the GW Bush Administration. I mean... that's almost funny.

You'd think Bush II would have taught us all a lesson about that.
And the lionization of Russert is also gross. The CEO of GE brags that he turned Russert into a NEOCON. Now that's journalistic integrity.

7. I think they felt especially kindly toward Luke because they loved Tim so much. |
|
He's certainly not qualified, although he HAS improved somewhat since he first appeared. I'd like for him to become as good as his dad.

16. I'm in agreement that he doesn't belong in that position, just giving my opinion |
|
as to how he ended up there.
I bet if Tim were alive, he'd insist Luke start at the bottom, too (or a position he was qualified for). But emotions can affect our clear thinking abilities.

have you seen one of those commentators who done profess to be an expert on anything they talk about. Health Care, the Stimulus, Afgan, Iraq...and it goes on and on...they know more about how to do things that a person who has been in college studying for years and years. Why don't we grab one of them to operate on Rush's mouth...

10. Luke Russert? Well, he kicked the pablum habit a couple of years back, and he looks healthy |
|
enough, so why not?
The American people really are too stupid to determine when someone is credible or not. Just ask Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, etc.
In comparison, Russert is a good choice.
You want to talk about unqualified? How about Mr. Goatee himself, Chuck Todd? There's a real waste of screen time.

17. nepotism. like most media bigshots. why does gloria vanderbilt's son get a prime spot? |
|
duh, because he's a vanderbilt.
look at the background of 90% of the talking heads on tv--they didn't get there on their merits.
their parents, their boobs, etc.
