Poll question: Had McPalin won the election, how would they be polling today?
Take your best guess.

1. Probably slightly higher than Bush/Cheney...
...but only because they would be new faces. The policies would have remained the same. Furthermore, McCain seems to have a complete disdain for domestic policy, and I have little doubt that his administration would have engendered the sort of corruption not seen since Ulysses S. Grant was President.

5. We'd probably be in a major depression by now with absolutely no end in sight.
Double the unemployment, no social services help, nothing. We really dodged a bullet.

I bet they would be in the single digits.

8. It's impossible to say what McCain would have done about the economy.
Mostly because McCain has no understanding of the economy. I'm not going to say it'd been the Second Great Depression, but it probably wouldn't have been good, if for no other reason than that the man simply does not inspire confidence when it comes to economic policy.

<grumbles something about stupid "maverick" bullshit>

2. I'd say 20 to 39%
The same 20 - 30% of the population that approved of Bush/Cheney even at their lowest ebb.

3. Polling 80%+ on DU, since they're not obama or Democrats
But 20% and lower among the rest of America (Pugs would be calling 'em RINOS, and all)

4. Depends on whether they'd have rigged the next 9/11 or not.
if not, they'd be at 45% or so. If so(especially if they'd arranged preschoolers and kitty cats to be among the victims)more like 97%, and the pro-war wing of DU would be demanding that the rest of us get in line behind them in the name of long-term strategy.

11. Oh, they would have. We'd be kicking Iran's butt, right about now!
I voted 40-60%

6. Other: Not sure how much of a country would be left to poll.
We would have had an economic meltdown that would have made the Great Depression look like childs play, and we'd probably be facing additional social unrest due to the decision to start a third war -- in Iran.

I seriously believe that this country would not have survived a McPalin presidency.

7. That's what I think too. The polling firms would probably be out of buisiness.

9. I don't think there would be a "they".
She would have already pushed him out in some way, or he would have already sent her packing back to Alaska.

14. Over 50% perhaps higher
The MSM love McCain and they would prop him up. Right now the narative is Obama's falling ratings and they do everything to push that. If McCain were President he wouldn't get the constant sniping that Obama gets from the media. They would cast the Democratic congress as the villians vs. the noble President McCain who is trying to do what's best for the country.
