Suggestion for Harry Reid

I don't understand why one or two Senators get to dictate to the rest of us what we will and will not have in health reform. An overwhelming majority of people support a public plan. Most Senators support a public plan. We may be a couple of votes short of 60 at most.
Why does Harry Reid not grab those few wavering Senators, pull them into a room, and tell them flat out---"You are Democrats, you WILL vote for the Democratic bill, or you will become a no one in the Senate. You will lose everything you have, every post, every chairmanship, every perk, everything. It will be a cold day in hell before you ever have legislation brought to the floor of my chamber."

Make those wastes of Democrats call his bluff. Who would dare? The Senate can be a cold and lonely place without a party and without power.
