Surprise! Another GOP sex offender! We got mug shots!!

Jetton faces early January court appearance in assault case

Rod Jetton's lawyer says in an e-mail that his client voluntarily reported to the Cole Co. sheriff (Jefferson City) last night, posted bond (listed at $2,500; he may have paid $250 in cash), and is not in custody.

An official at Cole County says he turned himself in at 11:53 p.m. last night, posted bond with a bondsman and was released at 12:25 a.m. this morning.

Jetton was given a court date of January 6, the lawyer said, in Scott Co. Circuit Court.

Jan. 6 also happens to be the first day of Missouri's 2010 legislative session.

And he's closing his business!

Jetton to close doors of consulting firm

JEFFERSON CITY | Rod Jetton will shut down his political consulting firm, following charges of felony assault in connection with a sexual encounter with a woman last month.

Jetton, the former Speaker of the Missouri House, released the following statement through his lawyer, Stephen C. Wilson:

"Rod Jetton is announcing that he will be closing Rod Jetton & Associates, his consulting firm.

"He will be leaving politics to deal with false allegations and spend timewith his family. He is confident that when the facts of this case are heard,he will be found innocent.

"Jetton feels that right now he can best help his clients, former employeesand family by closing the doors of his consulting company.

"He expects to finalize his business dealings by the end of 2009."

2. "He expects to finalize his business dealings by the end of 2009."

Translation: He's expecting jail time, so he wants to wrap up his business obligations while he's still out.

5. "He wants to spend time with his family"....
"He will be leaving politics to deal with false allegations and spend time with his family...

Hey Sport? If you had been spending time with your family, instead of playing sex games with a woman who was not your wife, you wouldn't be in the position you're in right now. Freakin' MORON!

...He is confident that when the facts of this case are heard, he will be found innocent."

Ummmmm... yeah.. about that, Sport. You're far from innocent, you were cheating on your wife, jackass. Where are your "Family Values"? Be watching for yourself to show up on http://www.republicansexoffenders.com

These hypocritical idiots make me sick...

16. He's a violent SOB, & ought to be in jail - he could've killed her
Makes me wonder if he's done this before, and gotten away with it.

Hopefully we won't see him involved in politics again.

According to a complaint filed Monday in Scott County Circuit Court, Jetton “recklessly caused serious injury to (the alleged victim) by hitting her on the head and choking her resulting in unconsciousness and the loss of the function of a part of her body."

An affidavit of probable cause alleges that on Nov. 15, Jetton and the alleged victim talked on the phone about having sex and at 9 p.m., Jetton arrived at the victim's home in Sikeston, Mo., with two bottles of wine. The victim said she remembers watching a football game but after finishing a glass of wine, began "fading" in and out of consciousness, according to the affidavit.

Jetton and the victim agreed on a "safe word of 'green balloons' to use as a stop word during intercourse," the affidavit alleges. The victim told police that Jetton hit her on the face very hard and then remembers waking up to find Jetton allegedly choking her and having sex with her, according to the affidavit. The next morning, Jetton woke up, kissed the victim and allegedly said: "You should have said green balloons," according to the affidavit.

21. After finishing "a glass of wine"? Sounds like a date-rape drug.
One glass of wine doesn't make someone pass out.

11. That grin
...tells me he feels no remorse and his lawyers are going to drag his victim through muddy glass in order to paint the whole thing as mutually a cooperative beating.

Well, whatever the outcome, I hope it costs that asshole every penny and friend he's got.

Not a fucking ounce of regret for spiking a woman's drink and knocking her around while raping her? Proud of it?

Under the prison he should go.

24. Does anyone else notice how young male GOP-ers have similar faces?
Very soft and almost feminine appearing? Whenever I see a group of young college Republicans, it always strikes me how "soft" and baby-like many of their faces are.
