8. Yep. People were protesting the power of DLC during the NAFTA debates and afterwards.
But Clinton had a "D" after is name, so labor and labor supporters were largely ignored.

5. DLC got its start from Gov. Bill Clinton as I recall
My wife was on staff of Energy & Commerce and was asked to join.

I knew it had been around since the 90's but to be honest I didn't realize it started when Clinton was still a governor. That's a long time.

9. Longer than that. I personally started railing against the DLC as soon as I joined DU, in 2001.
Had DU existed in the 90s, I would have railed against the DLC then.
