The free clinic Keith O is supporting is here for the next two days
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Workers began setting up a free health clinic inside Bartle Hall on Tuesday. On Wednesday and Thursday, the uninsured in Kansas and Missouri can schedule appointments for free health and dental care at the Communities are Responding Everyday clinic.

The event is sponsored by the National Association of Free Clinics and is designed to highlight the plight of people without health insurance.

"We've been to Houston, New Orleans and Little Rock," Nicole Lamoureux said. "And we're here with you all for two days. This is the first time we've ever done a two-day clinic. It will take us all day to set up this space."

2,000 doctors, specialists and nurses will be on hand offering a wide range of medical care.

"Previously cities we've been to, 90 percent of our patients had two or more diseases," Lamoureux said. "Diabetes, high blood pressure, we had patients who had come to clinics who had heart attacks and they didn't even know it. We found a woman who had stage four breast cancer. We've stopped three or four suicides."

While the event is sponsored by the nonprofit, it was inspired by MSNBC's Keith Olbermann, who told his audience that he hopes these clinics will get moderate Democrats to support health care reform.

2. I was furious when Bill Clinton refused to go, said Olbermann was politicizing it.

Hell, yes he was politicizing. So were those of us who donated to make it happen.

That infuriated me when Clinton did that.

is needed.
That is the Politicizing?
That makes me angry too. Keith doesn't put his face on it, doesn't call them Olbermann Hwalth Clinics.

Everyone who works them say it changes you. Heck that insurance whistleblower was moved to leave when he happened upon such a clinic.

The people are real, the issues are real, their pain is real. That is humanizing. Too ignore the 'common people' and talk the spin, now that is Politicizing

5. That was stupid
Olberman has become an enemy to the right. So of course Clinton is keeping his distance. Wouldn't want to upset the right wingnuts!

8. Thank You!!
I went today to get checked out and to my suprise my total cholesterol level is...262!! Holy Chit Batman thats frickin High!! and I am a really skinny dude! More tests are in order here.

They also did a ECG...ummm,they recommend even more tests (On top of the cholesterol) as the ECG had some abnormal readings and the Docs were lets say more than concerned.

Again thank Ya'll (Both the Clinics and Volunteers) as I would never have found this out with the cheesey med care I can afford.

Ya'll did a Great Job!

Catching this stuff early may actually keep me on this planet longer so I will have more time to give Repukes/Teabaggers/Neocons as much grief as possible before I pass on!
