Where is a hard-assed Parliamentarian when you need one?

Obstructionist republicans have taken to 'forgetting' their electronic vote cards to slow down floor votes in the House, since they don't have the votes to stop anything in that chamber. If we were to be given the job of House Parliamentarian, we could put an end to this shit. We would tell the forgetful fuckers that they better toddle on back to wherever they left their card and fetch it and hurry the hell up about getting back because the vote will be closed if they don't move double-time.

I think it is way past time to stop adhering to the unwritten rules in the Senate. I think a lot of things are allowed to slide by because they are tacitly agreed upon by both parties.

The Rethugs have shown that they are using any and every trick to slow down the government. It doesn't matter what the issue is. They will oppose it, and they are abusing the courtesies that are in place.

At one time, the courtesies might have been useful when used sparingly. I say drop them all, and gavel the shit out of people who don't follow written procedure.
