Here is how I understand the Republicans feel about the democrats |
|
As Rush said "I hope Obama fails" They really know he won't fail so they are pulling out all the stops to try and make his Administration a failure. If they truly thought he would fail you can bet your bottom dollar they would assist him in that effort. No better way for Republicans to regain control than for Democrats to fail in their governance. If their policies were as wrong as Republicans say they are then failure would be assured. By doing everything within their power to stop the Democrats, they are essentially saying the only way Democrats will fail is if we keep them from governing. What I don't understand is how they believe they are not transparent in their efforts..

1. Obstruction is they only strategy they have. |
|
They are no longer serving the American people or our best interests. They are treating this like some huge football game. The way they win, they way they gain yardage is to block every piece of legislation that would serve to better this country, and make life easier for so many that have so little.
Republicans serve corporations. They are fascists, and should be called what they are at every opportunity.

2. From the moment Obama took office, there was an active strategy |
|
to make Obama fail. Hannity,Fox News--started his programs "When Obama fails and HE WILL FAIL.."
IMO, Fox News has framed every story to put Democrats and Obama in the worst light possible.
Hate Radio typically use deceit, even lies, IMO. to put Democrats and Obama in the worst light possible.
They knew the way to do this was to bring down Obama's favoroablity ratings.
You would have to blind in one eye and not be able to see out of the other eye, in order not to understand what has been going on.
My criticism of Democrats --their apparent unwillingness to fight back and fight back hard. Just letting untruths lie out there unchallenged.

3. They feel about as as the Nazis did about the Jews. |
|
More and more this is apparent in their words, language and increasing medeval barbarism of their leaders.
Right-Wing Authoritarian Followers are wedded to their childlike beliefe in the infallibility of authority.
They, most of them anyway, will wait for permission from Authority to do waht they dream of and hide from sight (as it has been demonstrated that a RW Authoritarian Follower's preciously held beliefs shift easily in the presence of another "group norm").
Not all, but clearly, the "Nazi segment" of the Republican Party is by far the fastest growing segment, even now.
History and psychology both show that the psychopathy that is unleashed by RW Authoritarian Leaders through their RW Authoritarian Followers simply cannot be resisted by the greater sheep-like society at large who just want to work and live and find a little happiness.
Time and time again this template has resurrected itself for another run, as it is doing now.
This may sound like exaggeration, and would to God it were, but it isn't. Listen to the absolutsist and eliminationist rhetoric that now pours from the insane RW like a flood these days and tell me you can't hear the echoes of the 1960s KKK or the 1930s Nazis.
I am not specifically talking about racism here, but the gullible stupid that characterizes RW Authoritarian (and the more rare cases throughout history of LW Autoritarianism, though more recent, since the LW had no power on the Planet Earth anywhere, until very recently)

4. They don't care if they are transparent or not. |
|
They know the media will spin their actions their way and make the democrats look at fault.

5. The problem is your generalization no longer applies |
|
Maybe that is why Tom Daschle, his wife, Harry Reids son, and others all are lobbyists. Christopher Dodd, Ron Wyden, and many others, unfortunately several Democrats, lobbying, and supporting banking, insurance, etc. over the constituency. Not trying to be pro Republican, but calling a spade a spade. The bottom line is, government needs reform as never before.
