Weiner E-Mail: Medicare Buy-In Is Path to Single Payer
‘The details are still sketchy, but there is one remarkable element of the emerging plan: the expansion of the smart single-payer health care plan that serves over 43 million Americans—Medicare,” Weiner e-mailed.

“Extending this successful program to those between 55 and 64, a plan I proposed in July, would be the largest expansion of Medicare in 44 years and would perhaps get us on the path to a single payer model,” he said. “Medicare provides health care to all Americans over 65 and has an overhead of barely 1%. 3. If the internet was around in the mid 60's thats what would have been said

about the original Medicare bill.

It was sold by claiming it would supposedly be improved to a true single payer system in the not too distant future.

While Medicare as it has become is great, that still isnt happening 45 years later.

4. Weiner can bite me. These new members will have to PAY a premium. It's not an entitlement.
It'll likely be very expensive too.
