Did the Orange-Osceola State Attorney's office cover for Tiger Woods?
Edited on Wed Dec-09-09 12:48 PM by The Backlash Cometh
The Orlando Sentinel has an article that said the cops suspected that Woods was under the influence but "an attempt to collect medical evidence was denied by the Orange-Osceola State Attorney's Office, according to a law enforcement document."

If it had been you or me, we would have been hauled to prison and we would have had to take the test. If the State Attorney's Office thinks this treatment is too harsh to Tiger Woods, isn't it too harsh for the rest of us?

2. A technicality, I'm sure, for someone going through it.

But thank you for the correction.

10. There is a big difference between jail and prison
Jail is bad, but it is often just for hours or overnight and the jailers know this.

Prison is much worse.

3. That article says Florida police need probable cause...
...to test someone's blood, and didn't have probable cause.

4. i'm sure that there are varying degrees of probable cause..
entirely dependant upon one's income or social status within the community. in many municipalities, driving while black would be considered probable cause.

6. Scott Maxwell hit it on the nail.
Found this after I posted:

I know how to clean up Central Florida. Remove all the good ole boy State Attorneys and replace them with officers who have minority backgrounds, or anyone who isn't committed to this strange way of life, by bloodlines.

16. TMZ has reported that wife told all...
She not only told the cops that he had been drinking--cops even listed that on subpoena--but she told them he had taken his painkillers at some point during the day, too, and brought them the bottles. Subpoena also reads "the driver was prescribed medications (Ambien and Vicadin)." They wouldn't know about the painkillers had she not told them. Seems they didn't expect to get blocked by the Atty Gen.

8. I have a prediction
You all can be dazzled when it finally happens.

Tiger Woods has a prescription drug addiction.

The whole reason why he evidently has been laboring to keep his wife in the fold is because it's the least of his secrets. She knows them all.

Someone who was evidently taking Ativan, Vicodin and drinking on top of the meds (per TMZ.com), got behind the wheel of a car and attempted to drive off was impaired. It's unfortunate that the cops in Florida are more interested in preserving his image than getting him some help.

IMHO, YMMV.

13. I'm beginning to wonder about the intentions of our criminal justice system.
What are they expecting back from Woods? Maybe not the State Attorney's Office, directly, but whoever made the call to ask them to intervene?

5. Florida covers for all
celebrities and the super rich. Look at how Rush got off for selling and taking oxycotnin, look how Jed Bush's daughter got off with a couple of days for taking and buying drugs. Look at how Coulter was allowed to vote any where she damned pleased and nothing was done. So Florida has a way of letting the rich and powerful off with a little slip slap.

11. Every example you give is true
But the super rich and powerful get special treatment everywhere. I wish it weren't so, but it is.

However, I do think the Florida police were going by the book in the case of Tiger Woods.

I read somewhere that Tiger and his wife may move to Sweden. I think that is a smart move. Tiger needs to make major changes in his life, and a new place may make that easier.

I do NOT approve of multiple mistresses, but, unfortunately, I don't think Tiger is the only famous celebrity to do so.

My husband's friend used to be a pilot for Julio Iglesias (sp?) and there was a lot of this kind of thing on Julio's plane. In fact, a co-pilot was fired for looking too hard at some of the women on the plane. My husband's friend was addicted to flying airplanes, not women. He said he kept his head (and eyes) down when he walked through the plane!

15. Frances, if this is the case, America should revise its own propaganda,
because we all now live on the otherside of the Looking Glass. Who do they think they're kidding?

18. My guess is that the U.S. pays less attention to money
and power than most countries. Quite a few rich and powerful people have been caught and punished in this country.
