They should have STARTED with single payer, and they should have had a media blitz calling it Medicare for All.
They then could have backed down from there with some small concessions, kicking and screaming all the way.
The first rule of successful negotiation is to start high, then give up as little as possible.
The manner in which Health Care Reform was handled tells me that there was never any serious effort or concern to begin with.
Obama should have been on the TeeVee every goddamn night, selling this to the populace.
No one was ever serious about this...it's all a dog and pony show.
This was our last chance...it's over.
