1. At my gym, I've noticed a lot of Glassy-eyed wonderment at the Glenn Beck show

We have TV's in the locker room, I have seen some true believers sit down and watch with a rapturous look on their faces.

So there must be some brain center that derives joy and pleasure from being feed huge amounts of idiotic bullshit conspiracy theories.

All in all I think they love fear, and they love feeling angry.

Beck is acting out the fear and confusion they live with.

The "Tank McNamara" comic strip has a running "Sports Jerk of the Year" contest. Maybe that would cover my BIL, who can drive a houseful of people away in 15 min. watching the ballgame. The refs are crooked, the coach is an idiot, the players are bums....
And it would probably cover psychotic Little League & etc. parents, hecklers, hockey goons.....
