The bill died.

16 years later with twice as much screaming and yelling from the Democratic grass roots we are on the verge of the left wing of the Democratic party killing a bill that will have half as much in it as what was killed in '93.

After the left kills this bill, it'll be another twenty years before there is another debate about health care and everybody will have to scream and yell twice as loud then to get a bill with half as much in it as the left is about to kill this year.

If we got as much as we almost had in '93 this year, it'd be a miracle. If we kill what we do get, everybody starves.

Yeah, eat that purity shit sandwich the left is about to serve up to the country because in its high and mighty Kucinich-like purity, anything ;less than perfect is unacceptable and we'd rather everybody just die than accept less than perfect.

I can take it. I've been a pragmatist on this board for several years.

This health care bill is a major step forward. It will insure at least half the people that weren't. Many by putting them on existing public plans by expanding both Medicare and Medicaid. Any step forward is a good step to take.
