A challenge to the US Senate: "Come and see this catastrophe"
Edited on Fri Dec-11-09 11:18 AM by Louisiana1976
I've been at the Kansas City Free Health Clinic for the last three days. I thought I understood more than most just how difficult life is for so many Americans in our blighted country. I didn't.

Simply put, the economic collapse has destroyed wiped out vast swathes of our nation. The insatiable greed and corruption on Wall Street and the concomitant failure of our government to address the collapse of our healthcare system, has resulted in suffering of unimaginable magnitude across our nation.

I thought I had a handle on how bad things are, but I didn't until now.

The organizers of these Free Clinics,(The National Association of Free Health Clinics) have asked repeatedly why has only MSNBC, Keith Olbermann, his heroic producer Rich Stockwell and Ed Schultz, had the courage to broadcast our national shame to the world? Yesterday, Ed Schultz broadcast his show from the floor of the Kansas City Convention Center.

Regarding why only MSNBC and their people have covered the free clinics--IMO the reason CNN, CBS, ABC and other news corporations aren't covering them is they're practicing self-censorship because of their Big Pharma and insurance sponsors from whom they need the advertising money.

5. A challenge to the US Senate? Puh-leeeeze! And interrupt their sterling, top-of-the-line, CHEAP

healthcare? Surely, you jest? And the mainstream media cover any part of it? Oh hell no! The LAST thing the corporate overlords want is for the nation to see the true face of national heathcare and the faces of all those negatively impacted.
