Saying he is going to try to be a decent human being. Good luck with that.

1. I could care less how many chicks he bangs
For me, I just liked his golf game. I think his personal life is his business.

4. Unless he lies to someone in order to get into bed with them, when he shouldn't...
He MARRIED Elin. So you don't sleep around. That's what the vows mean.

Never mind STDs...

behavior of both the men and women involved in these extra-marital affairs, are the mobs of people who take delight in reporting on what is, in the end, no one's business but theirs. Aside from the cheating spouses and the women who are only too delighted to help them cheat and equally to blame, there are always innocent parties, such as children and wives or husbands who are already hurt by the betrayal of someone they love, and then doubly hurt by the prurient onlookers delighting in the whole sorry mess.

I wish them well and hope they survive as a family. I see no reason why he should be forced out of his career. Bad as his behavior was, it was not illegal and I'm not sure what his private life has or should have to do with his professional life. I doubt anyone interested in watching him play golf, were fans because of his personal life.

Sometimes I think that as a society we haven't come too far from the era of the Salem Witch trials. Seems like a lot of people don't have much in their own lives as they have so much time to spend on the personal lives of others.

These people are human. We know he behaved badly towards his family. I don't get the need to jump up and down with delight everytime someone else screws up their lives. If anything, it's sad, not funny especially for his family.

2. He should have been content with a "hole in one" instead of being a bogey
Or what's 13 over par, rather, since in Tiger's case "par" can only be "1"?

10. Link
From his website:

I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I've done, but I want to do my best to try.

I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding. What's most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing.

After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.

Again, I ask for privacy for my family and I am especially grateful for all those who have offered compassion and concern during this difficult period.

11. Well, the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.
The question is, is Tiger really sorry or really sorry he got caught?
My guess is that his wife will one day be a single and very wealthy woman.
I wonder if he thought it was worth it?

22. Not sure she'll be single . She's a beautiful woman.
Not that she has to marry anybody. But I don't think she'll lack from "gentlemen callers" as Blanche Dubois might say. She will probably find someone who is a soul mate. I certainly hope she does. Money helps of course.

I kind ofdoubt Tiger feels sorry at this point. He has to grow up past his addiction to one night stands and hookers. He never really to past that stage in his development, IMO. So there he is with lots of money and lots of women ready to part him from his money...

16. do idiot women throw themselves at golfers who are on hiatus?
Before this drama unfolded, I had no idea women threw themselves at golfers period. That has to be the lamest type of groupie to exist...unless professional bowlers have groupies too. Hmmm...more weird crap to ponder.

The idea of sleeping with a guy just because he has a lot of money would make me feel like a passive aggressive prostitute. Knowing that he's married would also make me feel like an asshole.

19. This is part of a carefully calculated plan to save his "brand"
He has got to make a dramatic move to get some control of the story and this is it...the other alternative would have been for Elin to leave him. You can bet his advisors are directing him to do this as a way to relaunch himself in a year to 18 months. He will "quit" , keep a very low profile, get some counseling for "sex addiction" , work on his marriage and then become the poster boy for a rehabilitated man, maybe establish a strong relationship with God to boot. Foregoing golf is part of his penance so that the public forgives him and that money machine can start a-pumpin' into high gear again

Where did he find the time? Between training, endorsements (such as outsourcing firm Accenture) and the family,
where did he get the time?
