Sometimes I wonder if anyone knows who I am around here. Not like it's a hole in my soul or anything, but I definitely recognize other posters and I wonder if people do the same for me.

10. EFer. is a bit too humble about a lot of this.

She took the whole burden of rousing us to action, got us to believe that we could make a difference, waged battle against PayPal when it would not release the Funds to Andy S. (As they decided that no one internet community could really raise $ 50K in eleven days unless a scam was involved.) The morale boost this money-raising gave to Andy was as important as the surgery.

Whenever I am tempted to leave the DU community, I see a post from her and remember what this DU community can really be about.
