1. About as many attendees as a Freeper rally against Obama.
Who says the far left and far right have nothing in common?

4. Big difference.
Antiwar is antiwar. I demonstrated against Vietnam when Lyndon Johnson was president as well as Richard Nixon. Many people oppose the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan whether GW Bush is President or Barack Obama. It's not personal.

6. And many of us that oppose Iraq, don't oppose Afghanistan.
We just don't see all wars in the same way. Nothing personal.

7. Of course.
I just don't think it's fair to compare people who oppose war to Freepers, who mainly just oppose President Obama, no matter what he does.

9. I apologize. It is an unfair comparison.
I've been getting a little thin skinned with all the Obama=Bush comments with regards to war here on DU lately. You didn't do that and I over-reacted. Please accept my apology.

13. No problem.
I certainly didn't take offense. I am NOT in the Obama = Bush camp, I just don't agree with the escalation in Afghanistan.

14. ANSWER & UFPJ have done more than one rally in D.C. that drew 80-100K each
Park Service figures.

I was there for 3 of them and also a couple in NYC where they drew 50-70K.

Freepers have never done anything like that.

Not one peep in the press.
