14. Political books of any sort wind up there fairly often.

They get outdated fast, and I'm guessing there's not much of a demand past the initial wave of interest (assuming there is one) in most cases. I know I've seen a couple of Franken's books at ours, and picked up Bob Woodward's book on Deep Throat for a buck.

It just means some store wound up with a surplus they sold off cheap before they became totally worthless. Just like when you see name brand food there that's about to go out of date.
