1. Not sure I'm succesful or not, not sure I want to be "normal". |
|
How are we defining "normality" here?
More or less ok with myself nonetheless.
Perhaps I'm typical.

2. I'm not normal; I post on DU! |

Definitely outside of the mainstream. Successful? Eye of the beholder I guess; dirt poor, but have strong liberal values and am still idealistic, so am successful that way.

Not sure what criteria define success... |
|
I have had successes and failures in my life. I'll let the person carving my tombstone decide.

4. Those are pretty subjective questions... |
|
I look normal, and I feel successful...
But what do those words mean, really?
I function well in society, don't break any big rules, am happily married, and just had a poem published.
So, do those make me normal and/or successful?
I think so!

5. Successful - because I can judge myself, not normal - because I can't judge that |
|
Besides, the times I've been the most "normal" in my life were not even close to the happiest times.

Don't ever wanna be. I have a beautiful, loving family. That's success, to me.

10. Normal is just a setting on my dryer. |
|
Successful, well, that's relative. It totally depends what ones goals were. For example, if you tried to fail at something, and did, does that make you a success?
