Bangladesh's all-women peacekeepers

Bangladesh is about to become the first Muslim-majority country to establish an all-women United Nations peacekeeping force.

The UN has for years been calling for more women to join its peacekeeping operations.

Nine years ago it passed a resolution stating that, because women bear the brunt of armed conflict, they should have an opportunity to help prevent and resolve it.

Al Jazeera's Nicolas Haque reports from Dhaka on the new peace-keeping force.

Thanks for sharing another positive development with us. It's a refreshing counterpoint to all the negative news.
