4. Personal experience...

I live in northeast TN, a conservative stronghold. I once ordered a cake and told them to put Bon Voyage on it and even spelled it for the person on the phone. I got a cake saying Von Boyage.

That second one is hysterical. I guess every bakery needs at least one literate person to carefully write out the orders.
