Last night, on 60 Minutes, Obama said he was heavily involved in the health care machinations ...... |
|
..... and has been working hard on getting a bill passed.
Comment on that, if you please ......
Has he, in your view, been working hard?
Has he, in your view, been working effectively?

it very, very quietly. One of my main beefs is that he hasn't been out there fighting - no veto threats - no nothing.

3. He must be the best there is at keeping a low profile while he toils away. |
|
I'll bet he uses the Cone of Silence when he talks about it.

7. What was the set up softball question he was asked? |
|
Questions asked by the controlled media are always easily answered by most politicians and they are rarely asked any follow-up questions.
MSM is "all fluff, no stuff".

8. "I am a New Democrat" -- Pres. Obama, March 11, 2009 |
|
He's been working hard against Progressives--he's not one of us. He's trying to remake the Democratic Party as "the sane Republican Party", and trying to push Democrats to the fringe--as evidenced by Rahm's Message Discipline team's attacks on progressives.

12. Failure to communicate |
|
Perhaps the biggest failure (so far) of this administration is the failure to have an effective spokesperson on health care. Who speaks for Obama when lies are being spread? Where's Biden? Where's the HHS secretary? Why the hell didn't Obama use Howard Dean as the voice of his administration when it came to health care reform? Let's face it the war is about to be lost and repubs will once again conquer the timid, ineffective dems.

14. It was Rahm Emannuel. The problem is, we didn't like what he was communicating. |
|
So he slithered back into the shadows, and kept the communications limited to bullying Progressives into compromising. I'm sure you all remember the "left of the left" stuff that Rahm was floating this summer. That's the White House's message--it just didn't go over well enough on a mainstream level to keep it out front in the public eye.

15. Rahm's still communicating... |
|
His message is back down and submit.
From Politico:
"Lieberman threw health care reform into doubt Sunday when he told Reid that he would filibuster the bill if it allowed Americans ages 55 to 64 to purchase coverage in Medicare. His comments on CBS’s “Face the Nation” set off a series of private meetings Sunday between the Senate leadership and top White House aides, including Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who encouraged Reid to cut the deal with Lieberman, the official said. The White House declined to comment."
