NY Times profiles gang violence on a South Dakota Sioux reservation
Gang Violence Grows on an Indian Reservation by Erik Eckholm, NYT, December 14, 2009
- Names one such gang: North Side Tre Tre Gangster Crips, a Sioux knockoff of some gang in Denver
- Asserts that there are abut 39 gangs on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation such as Wild Boyz, TBZ, Nomads and Indian Mafia
- Obviously the gangs exploit the poorer tribe members to be united with others "like them". They also embrace gangsta rap from "White America"

Wow...this is amazing. What else other than the media could've influenced this lifestyle in none other than rural Indian reservations in Middle-of-Nowhere-Land, USA? And you thought that the Heartland was a shelter from the evil libruhl eleetz from the Coasts.

2. Guess who owns all the labels distributing rap music?
Guess who owns the parent corporations of BET and MTV, channels that frequently show gangsta rap videos?

Guess who oversees the careers of a bunch of talentless hacks who rap about bitches, hoes, cars, selling crack, and mugging innocent people?

White people!

3. BET: Robert Johnson, founder
Edited on Tue Dec-15-09 02:58 AM by Hannah Bell

In 2001 Johnson became the first African American billionaire, and the first black person to be listed on any of Forbes world's rich list. For 33 years from 1969-2002 he was married to Sheila Johnson. Together they made their fortunes by founding the entertainment network BET. They sold the company to Viacom in 1999. Johnson continued to be the company's chairman and CEO for six years. In 2005, Johnson turned over the titles of President and Chief Operating Officer of BET to Debra L. Lee, a former BET vice president.

4. Guess who heads Viacom?
A white person. Could that explain the low quality of most BET shows?

7. you're saying there was a noticeable change 1999/2000-on?
you're saying only white people can be money-grubbing purveyors of trash?

5. My brother in law used to be a law enforcement officer out by Pine Ridge
He compares the place to Haiti, with Haiti being nicer. The alcoholism, rape, child neglect, etc. It broke his heart.
