My head shaking anti-government health care co worker moment of the day
This man I work with is a Republican with a HUGE RED R. All he has been talking about for months is how bad Obama-care is going to be how bad the public option would be, single payer would be worse, how the recent mammogram thing was an example of rationing brought to you by Obama bla bla anti gvt bla bla

Well today he is in my office and is talking with another person about some surgery he is going to have to have. He has the company insurance. BUT HE IS ALSO A VETERAN. So the discussion unfolded something like this:

Him-I am going to go to the VA for my surgery

Well you have our insurance.

Him- Oh no, if I use our insurance it will end up costing me a ton of money. With the VA it will be free and the care is awesome!

:banghead:

But keep the government out of my healthcare!

4. Repubs are missing the part of the brain..
Which in undamaged people serves to notify us when we are engaging in cognitive dissonance.

That really is the only explanation I can come up with.

8. The main fuction of fundie churches is to get people comfortable with cognitive dissonance
Then they will spend their lives defending lie after lie and giving all their spare money to the furtherance of that cause.

So it's not surprising that the pukes run the show in a country where fundie churches have taken over.

5. Every conservative verteran should be turned over to private insurance to see how they like it
Liberal veterans are welcome to stay on government run care.
